This is really quite adorable. 
Did you make the background yourself (or brushes?) if so - great job!
My only comments aim towards the size in general. Since you only used your name and some brushes it leaves a lot of open space. Maybe try this on a smaller sized image?
The other part is the font - everything past the "y" is bright at the top due to the conflict between the white font/light blue background. Maybe change the font color to an offwhite (or another color all together) or add some other blending options in for it so it can stand out a bit more?
Overall it is really cute and my first reaction was *squee - girly!* And yes, I can see the magical side to it as well =D

well its bright after the y because it intensifies according to the background and yes the whole thing was made from scratch lol
i got ps cs4 today and just played around with it. uhm for the bg its just a brush that i added gradient blending to and then the font has the outer glow w/ color dodge property. so as a practice round, yeah it needs work but its something ill be doing in the future so ill need to get used to it lol heres one i made a few hours later.

I'd say Cyan and Black with a bit of purple stuck in there. I don't want any insert characters just "xMrReece" with "Intoxication" right below it. For the themes, I'd like Dark Flames, You can use the purple and Cyan in this one...
As for Font styles, make it look something mid-evil.
